Dyspraxia is a processing issue, which requires graded exercises so the child can follow the steps required to achieve each movement. Complex movements are broken down and slowly built up so that children with dyspraxia can gradually achieve skilled movement.
Therapeutic exercises trains both the brain and the body and is designed for children to improve their core strength. Additionally, these exercises will help children with dyspraxia to integrate sensory information and increase the accuracy of their motor function.
Children are naturally observant and know when they are less able than the rest of their peers in school. Children are also social creatures and they like to play with other children. Here, Children with dyspraxia play and learn together, so they know they are not alone. In watching each other improve they will know that all things are possible with practice. Encouraging each other can also improve their social skills.
Individual therapy can be expensive. Because our aim is to reach as many children as possible, we use group therapy to lower the cost so that more children can access more frequent and more intensive therapy to get maximum benefit. Early childhood is a time of explosive brain growth and it is the best time to build foundational habits and maximise the gains of therapy.
